Relaxing next to the open window
I cherish the giggly little fellows
Pops in the head
This rare unread thread
It sounded something like this in my head…
In the beginning, it was a rare tingling
Exhausted, yet waited till 3 am
Unconditional I thought you would be
Unimaginable you became to me
Sparkling as the sun could be
Uneasy it made me
Shifted your position, the 6 feet umbrella
Calm I could always be
Hiding in plain sight
Behind the books of atomic science
Compelling you still were
Just 2 inches apart
Turing 19 with you could be appealing
"Let's not meet", came your suggestion
All that adrenaline became cold
Now I know the epitome of our fall
Ignoring became your boundless hobby
Turning me into a screeching crow
Only so you could turn around
And see me more
I still wore my lime green sweater
Broken, I analyzed it
As you sat next to me
A total stranger
Happy we could be
Definitely, maybe
If I had my pride
You had the opportunity to thrive
But you made sure I could not rise
Swirling in my thoughts, now I know why you lie
My success started shattering you
The applause was now numb
"You did it without me"
Could only be your assumption
And with a sudden popping came, your apologetic notification
Without a flinch, I drop my heart into the hot cocoa
Cause with the view so pleasing of the July monsoon
It was easier to turn that into an ordinary photo
I didn’t know
if the world should devour the road
Or make me the queen of your shore
For all, I knew you had already lost the ore
I was now distracted
Thanks for those blessed hundreds of days
And no, I didn’t want to be adapted
Because now I can only think of you as a phase
Indeed, you were guilty
And I wasn’t ready
I could never be
And I shall never be for you
It is hard to suffer when tears refuse to fall down
In this cold weather
But I am in a good place
And that’s all that matters
So, yes
I better lay that notification call down
And clear this with you
Only to run like a mad hamster, in an endless loop
The end!
